Push boat Veronica V

Commissioned by Concordia Damen, we supplied the complete package of De Waal products for the CDS4115 Shallow Draft River Pusher Veronica V. Due to specific requirements, the propeller shaft installations, Easyflow and Flanking rudders with accompanying steering machines were designed specifically for this project by De Waal's engineering department.

Specifically, this order consisted of six Easyflow rudders, four flanking rudders, three steering machines and three propeller shaft installations (water-lubricated).

Sales engineer Matthijs Versluis: "The nice thing about this project is that the push boat was completely finished in Werkendam and then transported to Paraguay." The hull was built in China. This 41 x 15.50 metre push boat has three engines with a total of 5400 hp. In a barge configuration with twelve barges, the combination is 281 metres long and 48 metres wide.

Shallow draught

The push boat has a shallow draught, which allows it to continue sailing for as long as possible during low water periods on rivers in Paraguay such as the Paraná.
