For the Somers family's Versotrans shipping company, we supplied and installed the propeller shaft and steering gear for the Bøstad push boat on behalf of Marco b.v. from Maasbracht.
The push boat was built by Fabian Fijneman of Scheepswerf Maasbracht and completed in collaboration with Marco B.V. Installation began in early May 2024, and the push boat was delivered in November of that year. The service department of Machinefabriek De Waal installed the entire system on site.
Marco B.V. specialises in the installation of propulsion engines, the supply and installation of spud poles and all ironwork on board inland vessels, workboats, push boats and tugs.
Maasbracht Shipyard has been a familiar sight in the inland port of Maasbracht on the Oude Maas for more than 70 years. The shipyard specialises in repair work on hulls, dredgers, pontoons and bottom dumpers.
