Along the Nieuwe Merwede

De Waal is strategically located along the Nieuwe Merwede river, near the intersection with the Boven- and Beneden Merwede rivers. We are centrally located in the Netherlands and in the busiest river area. This is convenient for skippers because we are never far away. 

With two ship lifts, three mooring quays, four tower cranes, two offices and a modern machine factory, De Waal is excellently equipped to be of service to you too.

Mooring facilities

De Waal has its own mooring facilities in the Werkendam Biesbosch and Beatrix harbours. Ships up to 150 metres in length can easily moor with us.

We do business with the current generation of skippers, but we also did so with their parents and grandparents in the 1930s. In this way, we hope to always be there. In the present and in the future! That inspires confidence and adds value. De Waal knows that continuity is what matters most.
