• Easyflow stirring for the He-Jo

    Our machine factory handles both new construction and repairs. The innovative Easyflow rudder is widely used in inland shipping. Henk and Johanna van der Zijden's He-Jo also sails with this fuel-saving rudder system.

    "According to Matthijs Versluis, a saving of 10 per cent is achievable, but even if we only achieve half that, I'll be happy," says skipper Van der Zijden. Having heard good things about De Waal, he decided to opt for this innovative rudder system. In addition to fuel savings, he also hopes for better manoeuvrability, one of the advantages of this rudder system.

    Over 85 years of De Waal

    We are a family business and proud of it. Founded in 1938 by Ko de Waal and now managed by the third and fourth generations of the De Waal family. Craftsmanship, a desire to excel and a willingness to invest the money earned have made this company a household name in Dutch and European shipbuilding.
